Pedestrian Struck By Train, Service Delayed On Bergen County Line: NJ Transit

A pedestrian was struck by a train Wednesday morning, May 1, briefly suspending service to the Main-Bergen County Rail Line, NJ Transit said.

The pedestrian was struck and injured just west of the Plauderville Station in Garfield just after 5:30 a.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. The extent of the pedestrian's injuries were unknown as of press time.

There were no customers on board and there were no other injuries reported to the crew.

While several of the trains were cancelled (click here to see which ones), service had resumed as of 7:30 a.m., however, service was subject to delays up to 20 minutes.
